Kindly take note of the following:

• Eid holidays start from Saturday 5^th till Wednesday 9^th November ’11.
• School will re open on Thursday 10^th November.
• Timings will remain the same:

8:00 am – 2:00 pm for classes 3-5

8:00 am – 1:30 pm for classes 1 and 2

Friday timing for all classes is 8:00 am – 11:45 am

• Students must wear their winter uniform with navy blue tights/leggings and black school shoes from Thursday 10^th Nov. 
• On days they have sports they must wear their sports kit with white canvas shoes.

School Timings effective from Monday the 3^rd of October

As per govt order any student not in full sleeves and covered legs will be sent back home.

Dear Parents,

Due to the Dengue outbreak in Lahore, LGS 534G1 Johar Town, has taken the following measures:

• The entire school was professionally sprayed with pesticide on the 20.08.11 as school opened on the 22.08.11. and then 10.09.11. This spray is to be done every Saturday. ( Lemda and Gelta Mortein)
• The entire school is also fumigated with “hurmal”- an effective local herb - every Wednesday.
• The entire school is sprayed with Baygon and Motrtein, every school day in the morning half an hour before school starts.
• There is no swimming pool on campus.
• Assembly has been suspended.
• There are no evening activities.
• Green areas are being mowed and sprayed weekly.
• Rain water is pumped out immediately.
• Washrooms are specially checked for puddles and all toilets are kept covered with their lids.
• All open entry points in the school corridors and verandas are being planned to be sealed with wire mesh hopefully before school reopens.
• Mosquito coils are freely used in the evenings.
• The students will only be allowed to wear the sports uniform that comprises of track pants and full sleeved t-shirts.
• Parents have also been advised to apply any mosquito repellent oil to their children before sending them to school.
• An awareness pamphlet on dengue, was shared with all parents and staff and uploaded on our website.
• The school nurse and supervisor keep a close check on the general cleanliness of the school.
• All indoor plants have been removed from offices and corridors.
• The school timings will be followed according to government instructions.
• We have forwarded an application to LDA for road repair outside our campus that has huge ruts and puddles after every rain.
• LDA has also been informed of the blockage in the sewage system in G1 Johar Town that allows rain water to stagnate on the roads around the school.
• A homeopathic medicine- psorinum 1m- will also be made available to the lower staff.
